Renee Wall, M.S.
My name is Renee Wall, M.S. I have lived in Nashville most of my life. I studied psychology in college and then earned a master’s degree in psychology at Vanderbilt in 1988. I became licensed at the master’s level in psychology in 1995. Since becoming licensed my work has been primarily with adults. I have worked in private practice as well as in various state agencies.
In my private practice, I enjoy working with a variety of people. For example, I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and frustration. I believe most people are capable of improving their lives, solving their problems, and living their lives more fully when they are encouraged and taught the skills to do so. I would love talk to you, help you identify exactly what you would like to focus on, and work with you on improving your life.
I have a special interest in working with couples. I have learned a lot over the years about helping people learn to have more effective relationships, improve their interpersonal communication, manage their emotions, and tolerate stress. Having been married for over 20 years, I have experienced many of the challenges that most people in relationships have faced. I appreciate what humor, forgiveness, and determination can do to support people in trying times. These experiences, along with my professional training, give me a realistic, yet practical approach to helping others.
I also have two sons; raising children and having teenagers has taught me patience and tolerance. (I assume most people are smiling at this point. If you’re not smiling because raising children is wearing you out, please call for parenting help.)
Most of us benefit from having a sounding board to help us see things from a different and more flexible perspective. No one can give someone else the answers needed; we each have the answers buried somewhere inside ourselves, but most people need a boost to help identify and enhance our inner voice. Let me help you find your inner wisdom.
